- ‘The User’, ‘You’ , ‘users’ and any other similar reference as used within these Terms and Conditions relate to any person, persons, Charity, Association, Religious group, Government body and/or Business entity accessing the Tropic Online website.
- Users of this website do so at their own risk.
- As a free-access website a condition of use is that you agree not to involve Tropic Online or any of the business listings advertised in any act that is considered unlawful or prohibited by the Australian Government, Constitutions and Laws.
- Users of this service agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Both parties specifically agree that the performance of this agreement does not take place outside of the jurisdiction of the state of Queensland, Australia.
- You are responsible for all fees and charges you incur when accessing and using this website. These may include the fees and charges of internet service providers, telecommunications carriers and other third parties.
- Any User found to be generating, creating or increasing the chance of Tropic Online being connected to, a harmful computer virus, spam site, worm virus or other similar disruptive process will be prosecuted to the full extent of the Law.
- It is a criminal offence to extract unsolicited supplier information from this website for the purpose of transmitting or engaging in the distribution of junk mail, spam mail and/or chain letters. Tropic Online may elect to arrange prosecution against offenders found using this service for this purpose.
- The content, images and layout on this website remain the Intellectual Property of Tropic Online and may not be extracted for use without written approval from a company Director at Tropic Online.
- Tropic Online does not accept any claim relating to images, material and/or content as provided by listed businesses within their advertisement.
- Tropic Online does not accept any claim relating to ownership or use of images, material and/or content contained within our website.
- Tropic Online will not accept any claim concerning the images, material and/or content contained within or omitted from our site due to the negligence of content as provided by our clients. All listings are required to be approved in advance by an appointed representative of each business and as such negates any liability towards Tropic Online.
- Tropic Online does not make any recommendations to users of this website regarding preference to business suppliers that are listed, please do not ask.
- Tropic Online reserves the right to edit, remove and/or update any uploaded material on this website at its own discretion.
- Tropic Online will take reasonable steps to ensure the information it collects and displays is as accurate as possible at the time that it is uploaded.
- Tropic Online does not accept, and Users of this website agree to not make, any claim at any time against Tropic Online for loss, injury or damage resultant of an agreement you have entered into with a supplier listed on Tropic Online. Tropic Online provides a means of communication between a client and a supplier only and does not broker any relationship thereafter.

Whilst Tropic Online promises to make a reasonable attempt to ensure your connection to this website is as safe as can be expected we cannot provide a guarantee.

Entities engaging in Advertising on the Tropic Online website
- ‘Entities’, ‘You’, ‘Clients’ , ‘The Supplier’ or ‘The Customer’ and any other similar reference as used within these Terms and Conditions relate to any person, persons, Charity, Association, Religious group, Government body or Business advertising on the Tropic Online website.
- All entities advertising on this website do so at their own risk.
- Advertisement Listings will only be posted to the website when the listing content has been approved by a Tropic Online consultant and payment has been received. The annual renewal fee will commence from the date that the listing is posted.
- Tropic Online reserves the right to review the Annual fee and any additional service rates as often as necessary to sustain the growth and promotion of the business directory.
- Additional listings and factsheets at the reduced multi-list rate will expire on the same date as the primary business listing.
- Additional listings that are requested for 1 full year of exposure that have not been provided at the same time as the primary listing will be treated as new advertisements and as such will incur the primary advertisement rate.
- Please note that all listings are fixed at the same content size and dimension. Options available for inclusion are an image or logo, title name, contact details and not more than 60 words of content. If more advertising space is required we suggest the additional purchase of a factsheet. It is the responsibility of all entities to provide and create their own advertisement content, branding, logo/image (<1MB) and fact sheet (<1MB).
- Tropic Online does not accept claim for the market response to an individual entity’s promotional efforts and/or content details as shown on the website.
- Advertisement listings and factsheet payments are non-refundable once the advertisement has been posted to the website.
- Promotions as listed under Tropic Incentives must either be valid for the duration of the advertisement listing year or include an expiration date.
- Tropic Online does not accept claim for out-of-date content or incorrect rates as published on the website. Information displayed live on the website is true at the time of posting to the website only and will remain unchanged until advised otherwise or until the contracted term expires. It is the responsibility of the entity advertising to advise Tropic Online of any change in listing or fact sheet content.
- As a free-access website a condition of inclusion is that you agree not to involve Tropic Online or any other business listing advertised on this site in any act that is considered unlawful or prohibited under all International Laws.
- Any entity found to be generating, creating or increasing the chance of Tropic Online being connected to a potentially harmful computer virus, spam site, worm virus or other similar disruptive process will be immediately removed from the site. Prosecution may follow if the service is disrupted in any way.
- Tropic Online does not accept claim for loss or damages as caused by harmful computer viruses, spam sites, worm viruses or other similar disruptive processes that may potentially be transmitted by users of the site to entities own websites. It is the responsibility of individual entities to maintain their own Virus protection and firewall capabilities to minimise risk to their own website.

- Tropic Online does not accept claim for periods of unforseen service disruption due to a server provider or other telecommunication industry related service disruption. Tropic Online will however make a reasonable attempt to ensure the service is reinstated as soon as technically possible.
- Tropic Online does not accept claim for periods of service upgrade or downtime relating to new entity posting. Tropic Online will however make a reasonable attempt to minimise this downtime and ensure the service is reinstated as soon as technically possible.
- Tropic Online does not accept claim for any failure on the part of either the supplier or customer to complete a transaction. Tropic Online provides only a means of communication between a customer and a supplier and as such does not make any recommendations. It is the responsibility of the supplier to negotiate the customer relationship and any resultant transaction.
- Tropic Online may issue business/website updates, newsletters, promotional information and industry news to the contact email address nominated at the time of confirmation. You agree to Tropic Online using this nominated email address as the primary source of communication and accept receipt of these notifications. If you wish to be removed from the mail-out list please advise The Content Manager, Tropic Online, via email at sales@tropiconline.com.au
- Notification of a clerical error as shown on your advertisement should be advised in writing to The Content Manager, Tropic Online via email to sales@tropiconline.com.au
- Changes and/or updates to an existing listing need to be submitted in writing to The Content Manager, Tropic Online via email to sales@tropiconline.com.au or Post mail to PO Box 293, Port Douglas QLD Australia 4877. Changes will be uploaded to the website once approval and payment have been received.
